PT Odoo Software Indonesia, a subsidiary of Belgium-based Odoo S.A., inaugurated its new office in BSD City on Friday, November 8, 2024, as a step to strengthen their presence in Indonesia. The office will support integrated ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) services developed to support local business digitalization.
Located at the Biomedical Campus, Knowledge Tower 6th Floor, Kavling Digital Hub, BSD City, Tangerang, the new office is equipped with modern facilities to support operational activities, from client meetings to training for employees and product users. With this new center, Odoo hopes to provide better service and be closer to Indonesian companies that are adopting ERP technology to improve operational efficiency.
Welly Siendow, an ERP Consultant and CEO of Appschef, Odoo’s official partner in Indonesia, viewed the office’s presence as a positive signal for digitalization development in Indonesia, although major challenges are still faced by local companies.
“Many businesses in Indonesia realize the importance of digital transformation, but ERP adoption still faces obstacles, such as resistance to change and limited resources. With this new office, Odoo has the opportunity to provide closer support, helping local businesses understand the strategic value of ERP in facing increasingly fierce competition,” said Welly.
As an ERP platform offering comprehensive business functions such as accounting, inventory management, CRM, and e-commerce, Odoo through this expansion is expected to encourage more Indonesian companies to adopt digital solutions for their operations. According to Welly, effective digital transformation is not just about technology but requires adaptation strategies and commitment from various levels within the company.
“In Indonesia, digital transformation is often hindered by a lack of understanding about how technology can directly impact business growth. Odoo, with a more localized approach, can help companies see tangible results from ERP adoption, both in terms of cost efficiency and productivity,” added Welly, while emphasizing the importance of Odoo’s physical presence in strengthening commitment and support for its clients.
With an increasing number of global and local partners, Odoo is committed to continuing innovation and providing adaptive ERP technology specifically designed for Indonesian industry needs. This expansion is expected not only to increase access to ERP technology in the country but also to help drive Indonesian companies to become more competitive in the digital era.
