By enabling these innovations, EDOTCO is playing a pivotal role in advancing the national agenda. These strategic partnerships are not only set to deliver significant improvements for businesses but also revolutionize various industries. Through the integration of modern telecommunications technologies such as fiber, AI, and 5G, EDOTCO is poised to elevate Malaysia’s digital landscape, showcasing the transformative power of these advancements.

One of the panel discussions at the meetup

Adlan Tajudin, CEO, EDOTCO Group commented on the landmark partnerships stating, “We are reaffirming our commitment to continuously improve and add value to the local digital ecosystem. While working towards achieving the government’s goals of 100% CoPA is still a part of our mission, our current digital ecosystem has changed now with the introduction of AI and 5G, allowing us to provide increased benefits to customers across the region.

“Advanced connectivity technology has the ability to drastically change how businesses operate, and with the innovations under our purview such as our 5G, edge computing, Integrated Building Solutions, and more, we can, and will transform the business landscape as it is today.”

Specifically, EDOTCO has partnered with:

  • SEAX Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (SEAX): Enhancing connectivity through the development of edge computing solutions and alternative fiber routes for redundancy, bolstering Malaysia’s network resilience.
  • SmartSel Sdn Bhd (SmartSel): Partnering to transform Selangor into a “Smart State” by 2025, including deploying flood detection systems, waste management technologies, and other smart city solutions aligned with the Smart Selangor Action Plan 2025.
  • MInD Mechatronic Intelligent Design Sdn Bhd (MInD): Drive innovation and sustainability in smart cities and plantations using IoT, automation, and data-driven technologies.
  • eMooVit Technology Sdn Bhd (eMooVit): Integrating EDOTCO’s infrastructure with 5G-enabled autonomous driving solutions for buses and last-mile transport, contributing to Malaysia’s net-zero carbon goals.

The strategic partnerships were officially exchanged at the 11th TowerXchange Meetup Asia 2024, witnessed by Minister of Communications, YB Fahmi Fadzil and attended by key industry leaders and stakeholders.

“These partnerships are in line with our missions to not just Connect the Unconnected and Underconnected, but to redefine connectivity and infrastructure within the country. Together, we want to build a better-connected, more sustainable future for all, acting as an example for telecommunications infrastructure providers across the region. These advancements being implemented are amongst the first few steps we are seeing in companies investing into their own connectivity, and we expect to see these significant advancements bring marked improvements to our partners’ customers,” added Adlan.
