If you’re not in the DeFi or GameFi space, you may not have heard of KryptoGO – a fast-growing Taiwanese startup advocating for the construction of a secure, transparent, and trustworthy Web 3.0 world.
Founded in 2019, the company recently announced its new AI-powered cloud solution for Web3 enterprises that offers a one-stop, secure and compliant peer-to-peer marketplace application.
We caught up with Founder and CEO, Kordan Ou, and Fred Chen, COO, KryptoGO to understand how businesses can fast-track their foray into the Web3 domain with the help of Compliance-as-a-Service.
A Quick Debrief on Web 3.0
Synonymous with the Web 3.0 world are cryptocurrencies, blockchain, NFTs and sometimes, a bad reputation. Tech waste (from mining), volatility of decentralized finance systems, anonymity (abused by bad actors), Justin Bieber’s 1.3 million dollar NFT dropping 95% of its original value, the list of negative and sometimes highly-sensationalized press goes on.
However, Web 3.0 at its core, is a shift from its predecessor – Web 2.0 anchored by social media, and interactivity of the Internet. Today, Web 3.0 allows users to not just interact with the Internet, but to own a piece of it. Underpinning this concept is the advent of blockchain technology, popularized by the launch of BitCoin back in 2009.
Transitioning into a Web 3.0 world presents a set of challenges, but also brings about benefits such as a greater empowerment of users to manage compliance practices, and to capture market share amongst users in the metaverse.
The global metaverse market size today is projected to grow to USD 3,409.29 billion by 2027.
KryptoGO identified three areas of opportunities for businesses looking to embrace Web 3.0 quickly – identity binding, technical security and user experience management. With its initial launch of KryptoGO Compliance, the company sought to address enterprise-level back office needs such as data and privilege management, user analysis, and finance management. Whilst, with KryptoGO wallet, end users are enabled with easy account management and access to their cryptofunds in Web 3.0 environments such as Gaming and DeFi platforms. However, to address the three areas, KryptoGO needed to bridge the gap between enterprises and end-user applications, hence KrytoGO Studio (KS) was launched to link the full suite of capabilities for the entirety of the user journey.
The Necessity of Seamless User Experiences in Web 3.0
With a strong clientele spanning across banks, venture capital firms, and numerous virtual asset service providers, KryptoGO is also a key partner with one of the largest Web 3.0 gaming guild YGGJ (YGG’s Japanese gaming guild). In this partnership with YGG Japan and Infinity Ventures Crypto, they introduced Stickey Wallet – a GameFi wallet that allows the gaming community to overcome complex onboarding experiences and allow for fast, reliable identification binding. KrytoGO significantly lowered costs by providing modular integration of KYC verification and compliance management, resulting in a 30% decrease in cost, and reducing user onboarding time to a mere 30 seconds.
Kordan added that such partnerships also present opportunities for AI intelligent empowerment for end user experience, for example, creating a smoother, more automated user registration and enrollment process with AI for image and natural language recognition (NLP). Furthermore, user retention leveraging on NFT marketing and advanced analytics for better audience marketing and personalization are also made possible with AI within the Web 3.0 domain.
Today, KrytoGO serves users around the world, including markets like the United States, India, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, and Germany.
