Gina explained that with cloud growing rapidly across the ASEAN region, some of the partnerships Kyndryl has formed with players like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, and Google Cloud have allowed it to provide enterprise-level services to support mainframe modernization solutions for its customers from the healthcare, banking, transportation and retail industries.

“For example, in Singapore, we worked with AWS to support BreadTalk Group to upgrade its IT architecture in an era of intense change, where the food and beverages sector is gearing up for transformation to meet new and evolving digital and sustainability ambitions. Another customer that we have also supported across the region with their cloud modernization journey includes Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri) in Thailand.”

Essentially, Gina believes that her organization has helped these customers to take initial steps towards transitioning their mission-critical systems to a modern and flexible cloud environment.

Kyndryl has designed a tailored approach to engage with their alliance partners and aligned its services and capabilities with the specific needs of its clients and partners.

This partnership not only benefits us by enhancing our capabilities to serve customers better but also empower our clients. They can work alongside us to evaluate and utilize the precise technology required for modernizing their services.”

The company’s approach to integrating its services with partners’ products as well as provide consultancy, empowers their customers to fully explore the capabilities of the products, services, or platforms, resulting in a better return on investment for them.

Since becoming an independent company, Kyndryl has hundreds of cloud deals with customers because of our strategic global alliances with Microsoft, Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS).” According to Gina also, Kyndryl has surpassed 37,000 hyperscaler certifications globally, further strengthening its cloud-related customer support competencies.

One example of this playing out, would be with the strategic global alliance it signed with Palo Alto Networks last October, which aims to help customers with creating enterprise-grade services and solutions around the convergence of network and security, and to mitigate cyber threats while remaining compliant to regulations.

Besides consistent security, a crucial business outcome is enhanced user experience for customers everywhere across industries like services, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, and retail.
